About Vernon

Full of Experience...

Vernon Nily was licensed as a sales associate in 1967 and as a broker in 1970. He has spent the entirety of the time since in residential real estate brokerage. For many years, Vernon was also the owner of his own company, a multi-office manager for a national company, a trainer, a recruiter, a coach and a sales associate. All of these jobs were in real estate; he knows the business.

Vernon has been active in the local Board of Realtors, serving on every committee with an emphasis on Professional Standards and Grievance for the past 20 years. He is a past president of the Board, the Realtor of the Year in 1990, and the recipient of both the Community Service Award and President's Award. Vernon has also served on committees of the Maryland Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. He has been an active participant in many local organizations and is the current president of the St. Johns Foundation. 

Vernon resides in the Baileys Neck area of Talbot County with his wife, Gay, and two dogs, Barnaby and Kami. He has one daughter, Allison, a graduate of Easton High School and the University of North Carolina. She now lives in the mountains of Colorado with Vernon's two granddaughters.
